The project of "strengthening the pond and strengthening the house" is a major basic project, practical project and people’s livelihood project proposed by the provincial party Committee and government, which is directly related to the improvement of disaster prevention and mitigation ability in our province. It is necessary to focus on the reinforcement of water conservancy projects, especially dikes and dangerous reservoirs, strengthen the safety transformation and management of dilapidated houses in disaster-prone areas, accelerate the establishment of disaster prevention and mitigation engineering systems, and enhance the ability to prevent and respond to natural disasters such as typhoons.

Zhao Hongzhu pointed out that it is necessary to conscientiously implement the spirit of the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the Twelfth Provincial Party Committee, seize the favorable opportunity to accelerate the development of underdeveloped areas, further enhance the sense of urgency and responsibility for accelerating development, promote scientific development, overall development and harmonious development of underdeveloped areas, and strive to make the achievements of reform and development, especially the improvement of people’s livelihood, more beneficial to the people in underdeveloped areas.
