The collapse of the working face at the construction site pulls off the water supply and gas supply pipeline.

Yesterday afternoon, an accident occurred at a rail transit construction site on Nanbin Road, Nan ‘an District. Hundreds of square meters of ground in the construction site suddenly collapsed, and underground gas and tap water pipelines were pulled off. Due to the gas leakage, a fire was also ignited.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, some citizens found that there was an abnormal sound coming from the construction site of this rail transit, and soon a raging fire broke out.

Witnesses said that after hearing the abnormal sound, they saw a large area of ground collapse in the construction site, and the gas pipes and water pipes located in the collapsed area were broken one after another.

It is understood that after the incident, this area of Nanbin Road stopped water and gas. According to the on-site construction personnel, there were signs of ground subsidence at that time, and the workers had already evacuated.

The repair personnel said that the gas pipeline has been repaired and the gas supply in the residential area has basically resumed. The water supply pipeline is being welded at the end, and the normal water supply can be fully restored at night. According to reports, no one was injured in the accident and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
