Which of the new Dongfeng Nissan Sylphy is the most worth buying? The first fuel enjoyment version!

[Pacific Auto] went public on the evening of March 10th, (|), in which Sylphy Classic sold for 998-118,600 yuan, the new Sylphy 1.6L sold for 119-133,900 yuan and the new Sylphy e-POWER sold for 138,900-174,900 yuan. For more than a decade, Sylphy has been the mainstay of Dongfeng Nissan’s sales in China, and it is also a Top3 frequent visitor on the sales list. Taking the latest data released by the Association as an example, Sylphy ranked third in the car sales list with 26,102 vehicles in February this year, and ranked first with 49,609 vehicles in January and February, which can almost be said to be Nissan’s best-selling model in the domestic market.

The fabulous achievements made by Sylphy have also made Dongfeng Nissan place great hopes on it, which coincides with the large-scale subsidy policy for Dongfeng models in Hubei and even the whole country. It is expected that the new Sylphy will also enjoy many discounts and become the Dongfeng that wins its sales again. So many models, which one is more suitable? Let’s have a detailed comparison with the models today.

First of all, let’s take a look at the specific price of the new car. Sylphy Classic sells for 998-118,600 yuan, for three models, and the new Sylphy 1.6L sells for 119-133,900 yuan. There are also three models and the new Sylphy e-POWER sells for 13.89-174,900 yuan, with five models. As a mid-term modified model, the front face design of the new car has been obviously adjusted, and at the same time, it has been replaced with a larger and more intelligent car system. However, the power has not changed much, and 1.6L fuel version and electric drive version of e-POWER models continue to be provided for consumers to choose.

For more than 10 years, our model has always been shown as "harmless to people and animals", especially the generation that was originally made in China in 2006. The gentle and elegant design and the interior full of home feeling left a deep gentle image of the family car among domestic car fans at that time. The current generation of Sylphy first made its debut in 2019. It can be said that this design has changed radically compared with the boring first two generations of Sylphy. After the injection of Nissan V-Motion design language, the whole shape is more sporty, which makes Sylphy, a mediocre car, come out of the shackles. This "little Scorpio" design has already won praise from all walks of life and attracted more young consumers’ love.

The new car is a mid-term change to Sylphy, which continues to follow the previous visual effect of width and flatness. Compared with the current models on sale, its main change lies in the newly designed flapping front grille, while the lateral lines, the rear of the car and other positions are basically maintained. The original excellent design, after all, the original style is excellent enough, and the new car can be changed slightly.

When this generation of interior styling was launched, it gave people the feeling that it was completely transformed. It abandoned the dull and old-fashioned sense of the times of the old model in one fell swoop, and the three-round air conditioning outlet in the middle and the smooth cascade design on both sides could all bring the same visual effect. The real car is a brown+black interior with two colors. After changing the 12.3-inch central control screen with a wide proportion, it can bring you a stronger sense of grade.

On the new Sylphy, the power system remains unchanged, equipped with the third generation HR16 engine, equipped with GT-R mirror injection cylinder hole technology, TCV intelligent multi-stage spoiler control technology, e-VTC intelligent electric continuously variable valve timing control technology and EGR cooling circulation system technology, so that the maximum output power is 99kW and the maximum torque is 159N·m, which is matched with XTRONIC CVT continuously variable transmission.

As a mid-term modified Sylphy e-POWER model, it continues to follow the previous wide and flat visual effect. Compared with the current models on sale, its main change lies in the newly designed front grille, and many details such as headlights, wheels and taillights also have "micro-facelift", which can be said to be more eye-catching and fashionable.

The power of the new e-POWER has not changed. It is still equipped with a 1.2L three-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 53kW(72PS), a motor of 100kW(136PS) and a peak value of 300 N m. Although the parameters are not very eye-catching, the EV mode has a very rapid starting response, which is quite similar to the hybrid system at low speed.

It is worth mentioning that e-POWER is different from Toyota’s THS system and Honda’s i-MMD system. Simply put, the engine does not participate in direct driving. The fuel does work, which is converted into electric energy to charge the battery pack. It reaches the driving motor through the inverter, and then the power output by the driving motor is transmitted to the wheels. All we need to do is to keep ourselves in the most economical working range, bring a steady stream of electricity to the motor, and thus obtain very low fuel consumption performance. Therefore, the user does not need to charge the vehicle, but only needs to refuel as before, without changing the habit of using the car.
