Vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit
People make history and labor makes dreams come true. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the General Secretary of the Supreme Leader has made a series of important expositions on vigorously promoting the spirit of model workers, laborers and artisans, emphasizing that the spirit of model workers, laborers and artisans is "a powerful spiritual driving force to inspire the whole party and people of all ethnic groups in China to advance bravely, rain or shine". When Socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era, the Chinese working class and the broad masses of working people struggled hard, striving for the first class and bravely climbing the peak, which played a major role in winning the battle to build a well-off society in an all-round way and fight poverty, and wrote a new chapter of "Chinese Dream, Labor Beauty". At present, the new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way has begun. We must continue to vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and artisans, boost our spirits and forge ahead in a new journey, and continue to write the magnificent chapter of "Chinese Dream, Labor Beauty".
General Secretary of the Supreme Leader brilliantly summarized the scientific connotation of model worker spirit, labor spirit and craftsman spirit: "In the long-term practice, we have cultivated and formed the model worker spirit of being dedicated, striving for first-class, struggling hard, being brave in innovation, indifferent to fame and fortune, and willing to contribute, the labor spirit of advocating labor, loving labor, hard work and honest labor, and the craftsman spirit of being persistent, dedicated, meticulous and pursuing Excellence." The spirit of model workers vividly explains the great spirit of creation, struggle, unity and dream possessed by the people of China. Vigorously carrying forward the spirit of model workers requires the broad masses of model workers and advanced workers to maintain their true colors, continue to struggle, play a leading role in demonstration, inspire more people with enthusiasm, enterprising spirit and hard work, and inspire the broad masses of working people to strive to be strugglers in the new era. Labor spirit is the basic attitude, value concept and spiritual outlook that laborers hold in their struggle to create a better and happier life. To vigorously carry forward the spirit of labor, it is necessary to motivate the broad masses of workers to run hard on the journey of pursuing dreams and realize them with hard work, honest work and creative work. Craftsman’s spirit is the elegant demeanor and charm displayed by craftsmen in their labor practice for thousands of years, which embodies the excellent quality of technical elite. To vigorously promote the spirit of artisans, it is necessary to praise the feelings of artisans, inherit the culture of artisans, and lead high-skilled talents and artisans from big countries to take on great responsibilities, accomplish great things, and make great contributions in this industry and this field.
The prosperity of a country cannot be separated from the struggle of the people; The prosperity of a nation cannot be separated from spiritual support. General Secretary of the Supreme Leader pointed out: "Model worker spirit, labor spirit and craftsman spirit are vivid manifestations of the national spirit with patriotism as the core and the spirit of the times with reform and innovation as the core". Vigorously carrying forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit is not only an important reason why our party has led the people to create brilliant achievements since the founding of New China, but also a necessary condition for facing difficulties and opening up a new bureau on a new journey. At present, we are in a time when it is more urgent to wander in the middle of the boat and steeper to climb the mountain. It is a time when it is more difficult to advance, more dangerous to advance, and if you don’t advance, you will retreat and have to advance. The mission before the whole party and the people of all nationalities in China is more glorious, the task is more arduous, the challenge is more severe and the work is greater.
To undertake these missions and tasks and cope with these risk challenges, we need to vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit. For example, the core technology is our biggest "life gate", and the core technology is subject to people is our biggest hidden danger. It is not feasible to conquer key core technologies by almsgiving, nor can it be solved by spending money on them. We can only rely on ourselves to achieve self-reliance in science and technology, vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsmen, and fundamentally solve problems. At the same time, we must see that China’s economic development has shifted from a high-speed growth stage to a high-quality development stage. To adapt to the new situation and new tasks, promote high-quality development, achieve new breakthroughs in quality, brand and innovation, and promote China’s industry to the high end of the global value chain, we must vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit at a higher level.
The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee stood at the historical intersection of realizing the goal of "two hundred years" and drew a grand blueprint for China’s future development. To realize this grand blueprint, we need to work harder and vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor and craftsmen. We should cultivate advanced culture, carry out in-depth education on Socialism with Chinese characteristics’s ideals and beliefs, cultivate and practice socialist core values, create a cultural atmosphere of glorious labor and striving to be advanced, lead the broad masses of working people to learn from the advanced and catch up with the advanced, spur themselves with the lofty spirit and noble character of model workers and advanced workers, glow their enthusiasm for work and strive to be model workers, turn the concepts of hard work, honest work and creative work into conscious behaviors, and constantly write the songs of workers in the new era. Adhere to the people-oriented principle, implement the policy of respecting labor, knowledge, talents and creativity, improve the policy of model workers, enhance their status, implement the treatment of model workers, and promote more model workers and advanced workers to emerge in competition. Implement a proactive employment policy, create more jobs, improve the employment environment, improve the quality of employment, remove obstacles that hinder workers from participating in development and sharing the fruits of development, and strive to enable workers to achieve decent work and all-round development. Carry forward good manners, vigorously publicize the typical deeds of model workers and advanced workers in the whole society, and tell good stories about model workers, workers and craftsmen, so that labor is the most glorious, noble, greatest and beautiful.
