The zoo panda attacked the female tourists savagely and tore her arms hard.

Great Wall Online News At about 10: 10 a.m. on December 30, 2008, a giant panda injured people in Congtai Park in Handan City. A woman entered the panda’s living area and wanted to have a "zero distance" close contact with the panda. She didn’t want to be bitten by a panda who suddenly became angry.

According to witnesses on the scene, at that time, the lady entered the corridor outside the living area of the giant panda. She first took pictures of the giant panda through the iron fence, and then fed it some food. When the lady touched the head of the giant panda with her hand, the originally docile giant panda suddenly became wild and violently bit the lady’s arm and tore it hard. The tourists were shocked for a moment. It took more than ten seconds before someone reacted and shouted to try to drive it away, but it still held on tightly. Later, the tourists called the park security guard. Before the security guard arrived, the giant panda just tore off the sleeves of the lady’s red down jacket shoulder-to-shoulder, and the lady escaped from the bear’s mouth. The whole process lasted for several minutes. Ten minutes later, the 120 ambulance of Handan Emergency Center arrived, and the wounded were simply treated and sent to the hospital for treatment.

On the morning of the 31st, the reporter rushed to Congtai Park for an interview and found that the Panda Pavilion was temporarily closed. The staff said that it would open on New Year’s Day, and now further protection work is being done.

The reporter learned from Congtai Park that the bitten woman was a staff member of a company. On the morning of that day, she came to the Panda Pavilion to get in touch with the "sunshine". Unexpectedly, there was an accident. The person in charge also said that the injured woman is in good condition and has been discharged.

It is understood that this wounded giant panda named "Sunshine" in Congtai Park of Handan City is a descendant of the mascot "Panpan" of the 11th Asian Games in Beijing. He is 6 years old and male. I only stayed in Congtai Park in November 2008.

According to relevant personnel, giant pandas generally don’t take the initiative to attack humans, but they may attack when they are in a bad mood or under external stimulation. Sunshine came to Handan from Sichuan, and the environment is adapting, which is one of the reasons for this situation.
